What Draft-State Valuation Means.
Draft-state valuation is a method of valuing a fantasy football player according to the current state of a specific draft, rather than treating preseason rank or ADP as a fixed measure of that player’s worth.
The state includes your league’s scoring and roster rules, the players already selected, the players still available, what your own roster still needs, and how many picks stand between you and your next turn.
Change any one of those and the same player is worth something different. That is not a flaw in ranking — it is what a ranking cannot express.
